Ethanol market roiled by rule-change rumors

Ethanol and corn markets were roiled last week by a report that the Trump administration planned to revise the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) to shift the point of obligation for biofuel away from refiners and instead to retailers and others in the transportation fuel chain.
The report, which was not confirmed, helped to temporarily drive up corn prices and crash the price of biofuel credits, called Renewable Information Numbers or RINs....
