Early disease detection possible with new tool

Visitors to the Farm Progress Show in Boone last month had the opportunity to learn about an innovative modeling tool that predicts the likelihood of corn and soybean disease on their farm.
The National Predictive Modeling Tool Initiative (NPMTI) is a research program started in 2020 with the goal of providing crop disease prediction tools that will enable farmers to make improved disease management decisions for greater crop yields, improved plant and soil health and resilient crop production.
