After weeks of lobbying by Midwest ethanol advocates, Biden administration officials last week issued an emergency waiver that will allow sales of E15 gasoline this summer. The waiver will exempt the 15% ethanol fuel blend from volatility requirements that effectively prohibit E15 sales from June 1 to Sept. 15 throughout much of the country.
