The following new policy resolutions were adopted Aug. 28, 2013, by the voting delegate body at the Iowa Farm Bureau Summer Policy Conference. Resolutions on national issues will be discussed at the American Farm Bureau annual meeting in January 2014.

STATE ISSUES

Constitutional amendment
The legislative process is the best approach to limit government’s auth­­­ority to regulate agriculture. Am­­ending the constitution may not guarantee agricultural protection.

Drainage districts
