Payments estimated at more than $43 per acre for corn, $30 per acre for soybeans under Economic Relief Act of 2025.

Congress approved $10 billion in economic assistance for crop farmers and another one-year farm bill extension as part of a last-minute appropriations bill to avert a government shutdown Dec. 21 and keep the government funded through March. 

The American Relief Act of 2025 also includes $21 billion in agriculture disaster aid for weather events that occurred in 2023 and 2024, including extreme drought, hurricanes and flooding.
