Calculator helps farmers determine carbon score

Free tool developed by Iowa State allows farmers to study how management changes could impact eligibility for voluntary carbon markets.
Farmers in the early stages of exploring voluntary carbon market opportunities can use a calculator developed by Iowa State University (ISU) to determine the farm’s carbon intensity (CI) score.
The free calculator relies on just five input numbers, according to ISU Extension Economist Alejandro Plastina, who developed the tool.
