The CHS Foundation, in partnership with CoBank, is thrilled to announce the 2024 Classroom Grant program, offering $500 grants to 40 pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade teachers. This initiative supports projects that integrate agricultural concepts into subjects like reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Eligible projects include classroom and schoolyard gardens, embryology and aquaculture studies, and agricultural literacy reading programs. To qualify, projects must be completed by June 1, 2025, with final reports due by June 30, 2025. Only state-certified teachers employed by a school district or private school can apply. This program aims to enhance students' understanding of agriculture while promoting hands-on learning.
