Branstad says RFS delay hurts biofuel progress

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) delay in establishing volume obligation numbers for the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS) is slowing the progress of biofuels innovation, Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad said last week during a tour of the Quad County Corn Processors (QCCP) plant in Galva.
The EPA earlier this month signed an agreement to follow a timeline for establishing the numbers. The agreement set June 1 as the due date for the proposed volume requirements. The EPA has until Nov. ...
