Precipitation amounts in September and October have been well above normal in most of Iowa, with amounts in some of the wettest areas more than 7 inches and around 400% above normal. Amounts were below normal at some locations in southeast Iowa, but even the southeast crop reporting district saw above normal precipitation this fall.
