Ag officials urge all-out effort to pass Pacific trade pact

Top trade and agriculture officials last week urged Farm Bureau members to make an all-out effort in 2016 to win Congressional approval of the Trans-Pacific Trade Partnership (TPP).
"It will take all of us to make the case to Congress, but it’s especially important for you," said Darci Vetter, chief agricultural negotiator for the office of the U.S. Trade Representative during last week’s American Farm Bureau Federation annual meeting in Orlando. "Tell them what it means for you as agricultural producers and for the communities that you live in, and what does it mean for our place in the world," she said.
