Our Impact: Health and Wellness
We believe in healthy, vibrant communities where people don’t have to choose between farming and staying healthy; between paying for food and utilities and paying for prescriptions.
Through our comprehensive health care program, Farm Bureau members have access to everything from quality health insurance and supplemental health benefits, to preventive and innovative community health services. Learn more

Rural residents need access to medical care, and Farm Bureau is working to improve upon that access. Every year, the Iowa Academy of Family Physicians Foundation and the Iowa Farm Bureau Foundation award four scholarships to medical residents and students who plan to pursue careers in rural Iowa communities after graduation. Over the last 25-plus years, we’ve awarded a total of $235,000 to 94 medical students who’ve chosen to practice in rural Iowa.
